I've had one for a long long time and it has served me well. Its stamped KA-BAR Olean,N.Y. one side and USMC on the other. Its got stacked leather washer handle and "blood grooves". It'll still take a shaving sharp edge too....

Is it possible to put a Bisley grip frame on a BH? I'm looking at a BH in .45 with the 4 5/8 in bbl but the grip is small for me and I really like the Bisley grip frame. From pics it looks like the Bisley frame is different than the BH and wont work. Anybody have any info on if/how this can be...

Well, I was trying to figure out by process of elimanation what was wrong, barrel, frame, whatever. That elimanated the barrel because it does it with whatever barrel you put in it and that same barrel dosnt do it in its regular frame.

But remember it does this with my gold cup barrel installed and the gold cup barrel dosnt do it on the gold cup frame. Also, the firing pin and spring are good. Good ideas though. Dosnt everybody just love a mystery?????

Well, all I can tell you is what a gunsmith told me once. I wanted to plug the holes on the end of a winchester guide gun in .444 marlin with screws. He said no. I'm not a gunsmith just a tinkerer but I thought they would hold and he didnt so I didnt do it. Hope this dosnt confuse ya anymore....

Yeah I did a 870 plastic a few weeks ago. I used a fine toothed hacksaw figuring a powersaw might melt it some. Then I smoothed and straightened everything out with a rasp. Came out good but I'm sure theres a better way to do it.....
