    Burned Buying Taurus M94

Maybe you should pay attention to the hundreds of other threads... It gives people an outlet to vent about their experiences with Taurus Yes, I am an idiot, after my first Taurus revolver, I bought a second! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... And they were both NIB, not used.

    Burned Buying Taurus M94

Still promoting your Taurus forum here huh? I may have one for your collection, you'll just have to send it to the factory and wait 2-3 months if you want it to run right. My 2 NIB Taurus revolvers each developed problems within a week or two. I was stupid to buy the second one, but I've...

OMG $60 for a box of Blazer 380 (In stock)

I suppose that they are more interested in building up their stock of ammo, in hopes that they will soon be sitting on a gold mine, and people really will pay those prices. I hope they get burned!

What exactly is "limp wristing" a gun?

To say that Glocks are less reliable than the others, based on those videos, is stretching it. I have never personally seen anyone grip a pistol like that, I don't know anyone who would, and it doesn't fit the typical definition of limp-wristing. It's a stunt, basically. Also, in my opinion...

My custom Mountain Gun is a-l-m-o-s-t done.

Nice work. If you decide to leave the turn line polished - maybe polish the hammer and the trigger? Once again, nice!

Bowling Pin matches in VA, NC?

Besides Wakefield, which is a great match BTW. The closer to Hampton Roads the better. OK maybe not NC, until I find out about hauling a bunch of guns and ammo across the line.

long story, how I about got attacked

To the OP: They deserve each other! You have my sympathy. I've been involved in weirdness like that too. Next time, stay away. You can't help someone that won't help themself. Chivalry is useless in that situation. Thanks for the post, it was a good reminder for me.

    Magtech Primers

I've gone through 1 or 2000. They seem to be hard like CCI but work well in guns with stock springs. Magtech ammo is fair to good quality.

    10mm rounds

For targets the American Eagle round, it's basically the same as .40S&W in a 10mm case.

    reloading for personal carry

I have personal experience with and have spoke to others about hollow-base wadcutters seated in reverse, they keyhole at short range, within 10-15 feet of the muzzle.

Wrecked My Motorcycle Today: CCW Still Intact

Some of the posts are very encouraging, as I've had the same concerns about riding while packing. I'll do it more often now. I have a buddy that never carries, because he likes to go real fast! Another buddy of mine went down this A.M., he's OK. That's 3 people I know that have wrecked...

Had to draw my weapon last night...

Random thoughts: Yes, it seems they would have been interested in you. They wouldn't be robbing you, outside, and then the store would they? If he thought you were going to rob him... well I could see him wanting to get his lady and get out of there. People get distracted when they're...

    Cheap/good spotting scope?

The one at Bud's - "Scope not included" - it's just the tripod! I was gonna buy one til I saw that.

Obtain VA CHP over the 'Net!?

I like the online course idea. VA residents, here's where you can find the location of the next (free!) hunter safety course in your area, just enter your zip: http://www3.dgif.virginia.gov/ClassSchedule/Outline.aspx?dept=Hunting&text=t

    Ruger Ring Red-Dot

You can get a Picatinny rail, such as the one made by Weigand, that will mount on your Ruger. http://www.jackweigand.com/ranch.html I have one on my PC4, works great. Have a Trijicon Reflex on it. You might consider a 1.5X illuminated reticle shotgun scope, to work with your present setup.

    Carbine for Home Defense??

From my experience and observations of pistols vs pistol caliber carbines on bowling pins: Overall, I would say that the rifle won't take a marginal pistol round and make it awesome. Hotter loads and heavier bullets give best performance increase in rifle over pistol. Better shot placement...

Negligent / Accidental Discharges @ Shows?

A gun dealer buddy told me a story, about an "accidental" discharge at a gun show: Some years back, he was set up at a gun show. There was a discharge from a rifle at a vendor next to him. He was called in as a witness at the trial, he had previously handled the rifle and it was not loaded...

Blue Dot: To mag primer or not

Good luck with the BD. It's been said that it requires heavier bullets at max loads with strong crimps to burn it all, I couldn't figure it out except for one 9mm load with a 124 gr bullet. Unburnt flakes everywhere especially in 45 ACP. Just a few of those unburnt flakes in the chamber of an...

    Looking to get into reloading.

As you know, brass is the most expensive component. By itself it is half the cost of a factory load. If you're not using any old brass, you're not yet "reloading" but you are "loading"! Apparently you don't have access to fired cases, what I do before I get into new calibers to reload is save...

    According to Geraldo....

This should be a fair and balanced discussion, therefore I will play Devil's Advocate and state: Geraldo's physics are correct, in some alternate universe.
