No it was all arranged ahead of time, I went to his shop to finalize my order forms, and get a copy of his FFL for the envelope placing the order. Hopefully I can get it faxed Monday, pick it up Tuesday...

I bet, when I see "CFR" I know it will be a nightmare. I printed the reg, maybe that will suffice. I'm not trying to create trouble for the guy.

I ordered a pistol from a manufacturer. I sent them a copy of my FFL's license. Paid for the gun, it was shipped, arrived at my FFL's shop. I go to pick it up, fill out the paperwork, everything is peachy. I open the box to examine the pistol, it looks good etc... My FFL then begins looking...

I own one for a 5 inch 1911, I like mine just fine. I have a MS Summer Special for the same pistol, not a great deal of difference for me.

Has the ATF made even a vailed attempt to justify this outrage? The ATF has never had any pretense of justifying anything they do. They believe they answer to no one.

I have had Meprolights on my Model 30 for ten years. It is almost time for a new set.

6'3, 300. Full size 1911 or glock 30 at about 4 o'clock. A good belt, for me the wilderness belts and a good holster, Sparks VM2 or Southern Holsters "Memphis" are very comfortable for me.

You will have to take a basic instructors class, and then additional classes in the specific disciplines you want to certify in. The NRA is very regimented in how their classes are taught, not always the best way in my opinion, but I think it is worthwhile and have enjoyed getting the certs...
