Does Taurus have a problem with Customer Service?

Taurus makes some very good guns at some really nice low prices and their quality seems to be getting better with each new model they come out with. Does their customer service keep up with their quality? Personally i don't think it does, but then i hear the same thing about customer service...

    how hot are wolf primers?

I have 10,000 Wolf primers. 5K small rifle for a 223 AR15 and 5K large pistol for a 1911 45. I have used about 1K of the large pistol with great results. No misfires or anything, they all go bang. I have used about 1500 of the small rifle for the 223 AR15 with the same results, they all go...

Fired my .30-06 for the first time

First time i fired a 300 mag Weatherby i had a real loose grip on it. I was firing from a bench and it knocked me off the bench. I thought for about 10 minutes it had broken my shoulder and i could hardly use it for a couple of days. I learned to get a death grip and wear a good padded...

Yes it will. Leaving space will only give you sore shoulders... Congratulations on having a fine all around rifle. It will serve you well for anything in this country. Best thing to do is get your self a good grip on that baby. Act like you hugging the most gorgeous blond you ever saw and...

Academy Sport, Thumbs UP or DOWN ???

Unless it was a used gun why would you expect just because it was in a rack to get a "discount"? Is a brand new gun worth less just because it is in a rack and maybe someone has touched it? I think not. Now if it has been shot, then yes, but not just because it is in a rack instead of a box...

Motel Stay in CA - What Handgun to Bring?

Take the cheapest thing you can get your hands on and don't worry about it cause if you get caught with it in California you are going to more than likely loose it and possibly some legal problems. I guarantee if you use it, you will loose it and probably get thrown in jail besides...

What powder for a 300 mag Weatherby

"I doubt if it was IMR4831, since 80 gr is 4 gr over maximum for an 180 gr bullet. Both IMR or H4831 along with H1000 are excellent poewders for the 300 Wby, but you need to get several reloading manuals to make use of these powders and correct loading weights. A Weatherby is too nice of a rifle...

What powder for a 300 mag Weatherby

What is a good powder to use in a 300 mag Weatherby. I will be using a 180 grain mjsp boat tail. I used this bullet way back when i first got the gun and it gave me the best groupings at 100 yards. I think it was aprox 80 grains of powder, but i don't know what powder was used. I am thinking...

    1911 thumb safety

I haven't been carrying for a long time, but so far have never had it happen to me. I use a Crossbreed IWB holster and I can see the indent where the safety is working into the leather.

Dillon owners a couple of questions.

    1. No head slop on my 550B, works just great. I use my old Lee dies they work fine. 2. Your better off with a 550B, easier to use, works just fine for pistols and rifles, less money. You can do 200 to 300 rounds per hour with out even breaking a sweat. A 650 is great if you need lots of...

New Rifle: Factory Ammo or Reload

    Taurus Millennium Pro 145

I don't have the PT145, but i do have the Millennium Pro PT140 and it has been a great gun. Small, about the size of my wifes S&WM&P9c, easy to conceal and it shoots great. Have put about a thousand rounds through it with no problems at all.

    1911 carry

"If he doesn't like to carry that way, that's his choice. He has plenty of options among other guns available. Why do you care what he thinks?...DMK" Why? because i don't care much for people running around the internet spreading misinformation. Being in the service for 4 years does not make...

    1911 carry

I wasn't trying to start a which gun is safer thread or is cocked & locked the best way to carry fellows. What i asked was is there any stats that show the 1911 is unsafe in condition 1. So far no one has given one shred of proof that it is not safe. My personal opinion is it is quite safe and i...

    1911 carry

I carry a 1911 full sized daily. I carry it "cocked & Locked", a condition that i have been comfortable with all along. On another forum there is a fellow, you know the type, who says he was in the military for 4 years, and was a cop for about 20 years and an instructor for 10..... He claims...

    Loadin 223

You might want to check out Powder Valleys prices on the powder and bullets. I just put in an order for 4lbs of IMR3031 powder for $116 ($14.50 lb) and one thousand Hornady 55gr SP for $64.72. Using this combo at about 23.5gr per load you have something that isn't to out of line and is easy on...

Is reloading hard , and what I need to get started, seriously

1.Is it cheaper? Cheaper per shot than most factory ammo yes, but you will find that you will probably be shooting more so in the long run it might not be. Reloading takes on a life of its own and is a great hobby, so sometimes you find yourself shooting more in order to have the emptys to...
