slugs are funny,,, you get a pretty good group,,, then ,, one flies off for no good reason, I have talked to some Up-state NY hunters that can't use a rifle, they have some real good,, slug guns,, that can keep a group,, and shoot longer range. Kind of cool how they adapt.

How many slugs do most people shoot? ever? probably not enough to mater. I shoot about 200 slugs a year. that's only for 3 Gun matches. out of an M2 Benelli. or I would never have any other reason to shoot them at all. Jim

Dropping the slug down the barrel gives you peace of mind. I have a super tight turkey choke that,, you don't want to shoot a slug through, but most chokes will be OK, The slug may and may not expand, all slugs are not Pumpkin balls, most slugs still have some type of wad behind the slug...

One way to check,,, buy some slugs,, cut the slug out of the case, and drop it down the barrel,,, with each different choke,,, if it drops it is good! jim

I can shoot and hit a tgt out to 600 yards with my rifle. I can't do that with a pistol. Nuf said

hmmmm good point,, I size the 9mm's to .356 and I add Tin to WW. they don't lead my barrel,, but guys I sell them too,,, now and again,, say they,, have had leading,, I'm hoping the moly cost and the blue Angle cost is about the same,,

I just got the equipment together, to try my hand at moly coating cast lead bullets. I have been casting my own, bullets for 18+ years,,, I sell some,, to help cove my own re-loading costs,, from the reading I have done. I see a real mixed bag,, of results with cast lead. some folks...

9mm training and bullet placement, is more important than, bullet type, size and weight, a miss with a .50 is not as good as a hit with a .22 Jim
