    Dan Wesson VH8 .445 vs. S&W 629 PC Light Hunter - value/accuracy/shooting-pleasure...

I love DW's and CZ is a great company too but I would go with the PC 629. If you were into reloading and were planning on doing a lot of hand rolling, the .445 might be the better choice. Buy the S&W and get at least 500 rounds to go with it. You'll love it! P.S. The trigger and BC gap have...

    Another Gun Belt Thread

Call Rob Leahy at Simplyrugged.com . I just bought and am very happy. Any length, your choice on finish. It's rigid enough to hang a heavy gun on and it won't twist or sag. Looks sharp too.

Wooden grips for the S&W 500

Yup. Look for Jim Badger's grips domestically or the Nill grips from Deutschland.

scope 629 classic or new 629 PC w/scope?

Performance Center is good stuff. I don't care for scopes on handguns though. The newer guns also measure out tighter than the old ones, no matter what the peanut gallery says. For the same price, for a shooter not a collector, I'll pick the newer gun every time. Have two ILS guns, no...

    Another big bore convert

I don't intend to shoot maximum loads out of this gun all the time. The H110 was intended for the .44 but since it is suitable for both guns, I will use it until I pick up some .223 powder.

First post....after my first AR purchase....

Yes, this gun has the "bullet button" mod, so the mag is detachable, it just requires a "tool" to do it. As for my FAL, I load it through the ejector port...no big deal...overall I'm dealing with Kali's gun laws pretty well. At least I can have a handgun, unlike some east coast cities.....

My Ruger Mk III has a cocobolo grip, so i'm not 100% synthetic....although it is more forgiving with scratches, dings, etc.

What is the rifle of my dreams?

Keep an eye in your local gun shops...I picked up my Remington 700 .223 with Harris bipod and simmons 4-25x optics for $550 OTD. Sounds like that would fit the bill.

They bench the gun before it leaves the factory, shoot 1/2 MOA, then ship it with targets included. For your 2nd question, it depends if the varmint is reading a newspaper or not.
