I just resized some 7.62x54R brass from my PSL which had a dent in them from the shoulder to the body, about the length of a small staple. Upon sizing the dent actually got a bit worse, and is shaped like a kite. Apparently the majority of the dent's size came after the resizing, like I used too...
I too am in the process of learning x54R loads, but for a PSL instead which is pressure sensitive in the gas system. Ideally I'd use a 150-155 grain bullet bu that doesn't exist in .311 in a boattail shape which is what I'd want. For some reason, Hodgdon's data doesn't include the 174 grains...
This thread is getting me fired up. I'll be coming to Texas in December to help out with the problem and hopefully bring home lots of pork. You may say I can only eat so much pork, but I've got a few friends and I can make a whole hell of a lot more if I've got hundreds of pounds of meat to...
The Hughes Amendment can and will be struck down on the basis that it is legally unsound. It is nonsensical to say that an M16 pre '86 is safe to own while an identical one post '86 isn't. No other such law stands up to legal scrutiny.
Best thing you can do for yourself is to get an NFA trust made. This allows for multiple users of the suppressor and considerably less paperwork and hassle.
Probably my dad's Belgian Browning Citori 20 gauge. After that, he bought me a Remington 1100 20 gauge. From there to now seems like an astronomical age.
This apparently will need some broad spectrum support and a lot of word of mouth spreading among the NYS shooting clubs and organizations. It's apparently very little talked about or known.
I agree with the above people, stick to the vastly more common stuff like .300 Win or 7mm Remington Mag if he absolutely must have a magnum. There's really nothing that anything else can do that they can't. I too also think there's really very little reason not to just stick with the .30-06...
Does anyone know much about the situation in New York State as to how there isn't any dove hunting? I'm told that doves are listed as a songbird so thus aren't huntable unless they get officially changed to game birds by legislative action. Has this been discussed much or attempted? They're...
NYC will be next immediately after Chicago in the McDonald case. They won't wait a day, trust me. Sykes will be ruled on first because it's already ahead in line, so by the time Good Guy v. NYC comes around we'll have that precedent. If Palmer runs quickly enough that will be a one two...
If they try that, our side will absolutely obliterate them with statistical facts that show that to be completely and utterly ludicrous. Gun control has failed everywhere it has been tried almost 100% without exception.
The reason we want P&I incorporation is that it directly tears down...
Take off all the usable parts then discard the frame. Slide, barrel, grips, magazines, etc. can all be used and should never be wasted. People talking about destroying a firearm and just throwing all that good stuff away really make me mad.
California can be changed. The guys at the Calguns Foundation are working on changing it. The very problem with the state is that people are discouraged with it and leave, so there's fewer firearms owners to have political weight enough to fight effectively. Also gun owners don't stand up for...
Looks like our boys should definitely get suppressors on their rifles at very least. That'd be a nice American made product for our industries to gear up to make. We're hurting for industry in this country so why not order a few hundred thousand of something we don't have?
