I have one and I do like it. I did a little trigger job on it that really helped. Also I paid 100 bucks for mine and I believe they are 180 new. So you are doing the right thing by passing it up.
My thought's are you shouldnt sell both of you polymer's. Dont forget about S&W 1911's. If you are going to carry the 1911 you may want to check out something like the dan wesson cbob. Good luck on your next purchase but be warned you cant stop with just one 1911 :)

Just for target plinking I would suggest 9mm. You have some great choices in handguns there, but you really should add the M&P and XD to the list. Try out as many as you can. Good luck on your first purchase
I had that happen to me once. It wound up being one of the bullet casings was out of spec. and the head spacing in the revolver didnt allow it to spin. I just took that bullet out and replaced with another and all was well.
