Just a quick question. I bought this revolver and it locks up tight like it supposed to. It cycles like it supposed to, but with it sitting normal like, I can spin the cylinder backwards.

If that makes sense. I can't spin it the way that it actually rotates when cocking, but when not cocked, I can grab the cylinder and spin it the opposite direction.

Is this normal for this revolver, because no other revolver I've had does this?

Right on, it's used. It'll head out to the gunsmith sometime this month.

Just messing around with it, it looks like the trigger isn't returning all the way, but the smith should be able to fix it.

I took it and had the gunsmith check it out. He told me that it's not a factory function, but he's seen a few like it before.

I tried to pay attention to everything he said, but I tend to zone out when folks use big words.

But the jist of what he said after going over it is that it's safe to shoot. It was something along the lines of something inside that was adjusted for the trigger something and it's safe to shoot because it all still locks up fine and that it will only spin while the hammer is at rest.

I honestly tried to catch all of what he was saying this morning, but, God help me, when you start talking to me like I'm an idiot and using words that regular folks don't know, I can't pay attention very well.:banghead:

Bottom line, perfectly safe to shoot.

Uhhhhhh, "while it's safe to shoot", what happens if the cylinder spins back one, leaving a fired casing next in line, and you happen to need the gun to work?
