    The 336 Club

I have a 9mm Hi Point carbine that shares ammo with my Taurus. Paid only $150 for it in like-new condition. It has it's 'nitch' for 100 yards & under. It's fun, dependable, warrantied for life, and cheap to shoot. It plays 2nd fiddle to the 30-30 though when there's serious work to be done...

I went to the Calhoun Co meeting anyway...

Thanks for the report gidaeon. Wish I had been there. Calhoun County is my birthplace, and sister to the county I live in now. I never had any idea of this meeting until spotting it in an NRA article on michigangunowners.com on the day of the 5th. Where the heck to these stupid people get...

    The 336 Club

Just acquired another 'safe queen' 1972 336 in 30-30. Now my brother has the bug for Marlins too. He just bought a model 36 in VG condition for $250. Can't get enough of 'em.

    Maverick 88 Marine

My brother just came across this one a few months ago. Maverick 88 Marine in nickel & stainless with poly furniture. Less than 30 shells through it. He's already talking about selling for a Marlin 30-30 after seeing one I brought home yesterday.

    The 336 Club

This came home with me today. It's a 1976 Marlin 336A in 30-30, and with the 24" barrel. This was a 'safe queen' and is in beautiful condition. This is my soulmate. :neener:

    Henry US Survival Rifle

Because of the fickle performance problems of the Henry, I strongly suggest you consider the Marlin 70P Papoose (22LR) made of stainless & synthetic, and uses a receiver modeled after the most-trusted and ever-popular Marlin M60, (assuming you want something to shoot as opposed to a wall...

Yes, it's still at On Target too. I've been buying more useful firearms & ammo at the moment.

    The 336 Club

I want to be able to use original iron sights as well as scope, but don't like the tall profile of a top mounted scope with see through rings.

    The 336 Club

Just picked up another 336 in 30-30,:neener: What I'd like to find is a side mount scope mount. Saw a couple lever action's at a gun show, but did not inquire about the mounts - wish I had. Anybody know where to look?

    Stereotyping.

Boy does this thread wander all over the place. I just wanted to duck-in and say that most people look like who they are, and that's a good thing for those of us who don't care about PC or some punk's civil liberties as much as we care about our own safety. Your average street criminal...

Rau Ozark Wildcat Just found one of the breakdown models at a local gun store for $99 in very nice condition. Has the plastic butt stock and wood fore grip. Very interesting firearm, and I'm about to be the owner. Check out these sights; http://www.milesfortis.us/church/akc14.htm (the...

    best 22 lr ammo

We fired Federal CPHP 36 grain rounds from a bulk pack today and they performed perfectly. No duds, and only a couple rounds that may have been underpowered, but then again it may have just sounded that way as the winds were fierce, and all groupings were tight. This are totally different...
