    Power Pistol and lead?

I use PP with my cast boolits. I'm probably gonna swap to it exclusively with cast, instead of juggling whatever's cheapest.

Cast bullets and Accurate #7 powder

I'd be really cautious using a fast pistol powder like that for a 6.5 and try to find a reference. I'd think that if you want to use a pistol powder, maybe unique. I tend to use IMR4227 for my cast rifle loads, but have used Unique and SR4759.

Do I need to swage 9mm?

The top punch and die are much more expensive than a simple push through Lee die. You can get a 9mm that is not tumble lube. I have had good success with 90309, which should give no problems through either sizing system. When I casted more, I used the lee push through die because it is much...

What to do? My Firestar Finish

I've had several in both 40 and 45 in starvel. it's a nice finish, but it will freckle up along the slide too if not wiped down every day. I've seen starvels at gunshows that show that kind of pattern. I'd say duracoat your star, you can even get it in shiny silver :)

my Google-fu is weak - need movie scene - pistol disassembly

The Korean rolls a combat commander upside down, ejects the mag, rolls the rounds out I think, he doesn't yank the slide. I always wanted a sequel, as I remember reading the paperbacks in the 80s.

Benelli M1 Tactical or a Remington 1100 Tactical? Which one would you choose?

M1 Super 90 Question I've got Remington 1100s and the M1Super90. I like them all, I've shot a lot of rounds through the 1187 Police Magnum at work. High round counts of contract buckshot and slugs tell the tale on reliability. I've never had a problem with 1100/1187/M1Super90s. A lot of...

IMI mades/makes a lot of .223 components and rounds We got a lot of winchester .223 Q load in on contract several years ago and the boxes were stamped Made in Israel IMI brass loads good and is consistent. Wideners.com has had IMI stuff in the past, but I think that the current scare...

Frustrated with Case Sizing 45 ACP

you can probably salvage those bullets by buying a .451 sizer die from Lee, they are pretty cheap and the bullets may be on the large side.

    Question about Berdan case trimmin

I've never trimmed berdan, but I have with a lee trimmer and boxer. Could you get an extra pilot for your lee and then carefully file the end down until you got the proper trimming length? Variations in case web thickness between mfgs is the only potential problem I see Whered you find...

Frustrated with Case Sizing 45 ACP

If you're using a lead bullet, it could be unsized or sized too large for your chamber Your slightly rough rim is normal after a cycle or two of reloading a case A dowell rod and a mallet will take care of many stuck cases at the range, they do happen. Frustration is normal in reloading...

any of you guys reload 223?

costs I enjoy 223 reloading - I use hitech bullets @ 31, accurate data powder, cheapest primers, scrounged brass, and a lee factory crimp die. My stuff costs around a dime a round. I don't marathon reload and use a hornady progressive. Accuracy is good, better than some of the ball I shoot. Its...

    bolt action .45 ACP rifle

you know You could deepen the chamber to Winmag and get your buddy to weld up a carbine mag to feed it. That would sure take care of that case capacity issue, muzzle velocity and would increase the "aint nobody got one in my neighborhood coolness factor" Rhineland builds them on mauser...

Where to buy the "newer" Hornady LNL progressive press?

I got mine at cabelas - they usually keep the small parts (cartridge spring O shaped) and the primer return springs in stock too. I got the case feeder too. Mine was timed during a rebate time from them, i got $50 credit for buying. I probably would try Wideners if I had to do it again though...
