You could purchase a bolt and several bolt heads. They swap by unscrewing. Head spacing gauges would be needed to make sure its good to go. They are numbered 0-5.
As for what it is:
Number 4, Mark 1 Lee Enfield. It *should* have been made by BSA...
I made a DIY pocket holster out of a thick mouse pad turned sticky rubber side out. It's reinforced with thick thread and duct tape to fill out the shape into an even blob. There is enough sticky mouse pad to grab and it hasn't come out with my revolver yet. I've been using it for 2 years...
I used CLP on mine when I took it apart. Bigger hammer and a punch. I think you could find some more info on take down at a website dedicated to the surplus rifle (Hint: google surplus rifle). You'll know when it needs cleaned and why you need the Murray's firing pin when it does the slam...
We worry about how much ammo to have sitting around when the majority of people can run down to walmart and get the basics.
.303 is getting expensive so I reload for my enfields, but how does that guy keep feeding his?
My P1 was the first pistol I purchased and I have not regretted it. Mine has been re-arsenaled 3 times, and was unissued and stored after the most recent. It even came with a fancy holster that sucks and a sweet box that looks like its from the 60s.
It's a fantastic piece of history that is...
The Supertuck is awesome. I have one for my CZ-82 (that I do carry, I have a C&R and couldn't pass it up) and I am going to order one soon for my newly purchased G19, after I buy a few bricks of 9mm.
A good belt is a **MUST***. I have a Beltman. I haven't tried anything else and haven't...
I have a Crossbreed Super Tuck for my CZ-82. It is fantastic. I've also got some ebay special that completely sucks.
I'm not sure what kind of retention you are looking for. Like the whole "push this button thing then pull your gun out" thing?
My super tuck holds the gun pretty well. I...
I had my Silver Dollar in about a week. Great holsters. The color isn't too bad either. With a good belt, it holds high and tight with no sag and it actually takes effort to make the revolver come out. They are great holsters all around,
Looks great! If I had more trust in my skills, I would try it out with my Armscor. I've always liked the idea of a big dot on a revolver.
Also, I was half expecting to read you used J.B. Weld, because, lets face it, I would have. :D
I would recommend trolling around the HI forums on blade forums. Also look for the DOTD (deal of the day). I have a BAS that can go through just about anything, and its not supposed to be one of the better choppers.
If you want a hard use, the AK is where its at. IRCC, if you break it...
A good belt is a must. It can make or break carrying. I carry a snub OWB or front pocket, or a CZ82 IWB in a crossbreed supertuck. All of this is with a Beltman belt.
Also a good holster goes a long way, but you would be surprised of how much a stiff belt helps.
