What guns have you sold/got rid of, and why?

I just sold a Glock 19 that I had for about 8 years. It worked just fine, and I did all the bells and whistles upgrades to it. I JUST could NOT shoot the darn thing very well. I put the money towards another 1911, 9mm Colt. I guess Im just not into the polymer guns anymore. I have always shot...

Have owned at least 6 Glocks over the years....I have two left....a G19 and a G20SF....YES....they are durable, reliable, etc. But the end all...be all....maybe...maybe not. I just know they work. But I love my Colt 1911's as well if not better than the G. To each his own.

Some musings about ammo and such

Most of us would love to have more of everything! Here is my rule: I try to have at least 1000 rounds of everything I use, except maybe .22 which I have way more of. As for reloading components....I always have about 10 pounds of different powders on hand, 4000 or so of primers...don't...

    Bargain Shooter or Grail Gun?

Getting close to retirement, I do have to watch the dollar like everyone else. But I have down-sized the collection over the years. Now I buy quality name brand stuff, that is affordable on my budget, (Not the most expensive) but items that I know will last till I am dust. YMMV.

    changes over time

At 64, I guess I'm luckier than most. Yes...do have a couple of lumbar bulging disks, but are under control with ESI (injections)...maybe once a year. Still able to carry full size 1911 and Glocks or the occasional bigger revolver. As long as we can handle our physical limitations and it does...
