    A REALLY REALLY stupid question:

What about a .44 caliber drill bit fired at a 2x4? What if one were to place a .44 caliber drill bit in the guns barrel so it was touching the chambered bullet? Do y'all think the rifling in the guns barrel would spin the bit fast enough to bore a hole through a 2x4 thus creating a pathway...

    Let's see them N-Frames

    Colt SAA 3rd Gen Question

Colt reintroduced the removable base pin bushing in March 2003 at serial number S3439Xa so the others posters are right, the gun you're looking at will have the pressed in bushing. These new SAAs with the removable bushing are still considered 3rd generation guns. Randy

Deciding between SAA Colt and Uberti

This thread got me really wanting an SAA even more. As luck would have it I walked into a local shop and setting there on the top shelf was this 2nd generation Colt with a 4.75" barrel in .357 magnum. It was made in 1972 and is in very nice shape....but not too nice as to be worried about...

    Let's see em....Your favorite .22's wheel guns

I have nine .22 revolvers, 6 of which are K22s. This here is my absolute favorite. It's a 1948 vintage K22 that my dad bought brand new (I still have the original bill of sale). This is the first handgun I fired when I was a kid. We put tens of thousands of rounds through this one. My father is...

Deciding between SAA Colt and Uberti

Colt...The Real Deal...Like It or Not. I've been following this thread closely because I've been wanting an authentic SAA. No matter how good the USFA guns are, and they are, an authentic SAA is a Colt. I've done a lot of reading on the internet as well as talking to knowledeable people locally...

    S&W 520. Owners !!!!!

OK Litlman, Look at these pics again. They should hold you until Saturday when I let you fondle it again! Ruger Redhawk, according to the Standard Catalog of S&W 3000 of the 520s were manufactured in 1980. None of these were delivered to the NYSP. All 3000 were sold to the general public...

Deciding between SAA Colt and Uberti

Just think how cool it would be if Colt contracted out their SAA line to USFA. You would have the best built and nicest finished traditional SA revolver in the world stamped with that legendary horsey! I'd buy two of them. They wouldn't be able to build them fast enough. Randy

    Revolver Pics

Michael is right about the fit. Fishpaw grips actually "snap" on the revolver. A perfect fit. I paid $275 for the French Walnut grips on my 4" 4 screw 29. From the point I got on Roy Fishpaws waiting list until he had me send my gun to him for fitting was 12 months. He had the gun for another...

    Revolver Pics

Sometimes I literally take 100 pictures to get the picture i want and still I'm disappointed when I look at some of the pictures y'all post here. As other have said diffuse sunlight seems to work the best for me. This here picture was taken under a florescent light. Randy

    Half As Many Love Revolvers...

I would think that the average member of this forum has so many handguns that they rarely if ever get to shoot them all. Though most of us are shooters, many of us are also accumulators and/or collectors. I shoot revolvers better. I also buy revolvers to put in my safe, take them out and fondle...

You're right about that Hammerdown. Now I know where to send a K22 that I may want to have nickel plated in the future. Randy

    Smith & Wesson Eye Candy....

Here's a few pictures of my two nicest S&W revolvers: Here's a pic of my 1935 vintage 6.5" Registered Magnum. This one barely has a turn line. And here's a couple pics of my 1937 6" Registered Magnum with Roper stocks. Randy

    Early Python Finish (Pics)

Tim, my camera is better at closeups but here's a couple of full shots of my Python. I was lucky to find this one in its original numbered box. The pictures at the top of this thread were taken after I applied a coat of Flitz gun wax. The stuff is amazing and really gives a nicely blued...

    Early Python Finish (Pics)

I thought I'd post these pics of the finish on my 59' Python that I took last night. They just don't blue guns like this anymore. This one has the nicest finish of any gun I own and that includes pre war S&W revolvers. Randy

    25 round 10/22 mags?

I have a few pre ban 25 round Ram Lines that run perfectly but as cheygriz says, they are thumb busters. I also have one pre ban 30 round Ram Line 10/22 mag. This is my favorite. It runs great and doesn't stick out of the mag well as far as the 25 rounders. I don't know if they are making these...
