Do you reload at the range?

Handloading at the range I've duplicated this setup and it works wonders for me. The only slight change I made is to use my Forster Ultra Seating die in place of the Lee seater pictured above. It's easier to experiment with seating depth when you don't have to "guess" at how much to...

    After you shoot?

"I didn't do anything wrong. I don't want to answer any questions. I want to speak to my attorney." In that EXACT order, repeat as necessary. Very likely you're gonna take a ride, get photographed and printed. No sense in giving the seemingly inevitable civil suit more ammo against you...

    M-Pro 7...

TonyB: Glockmeister has VERY competitive prices on M-Pro 7, even if you don't buy in bulk. FWIW, I dunk my guns in a large tupperware of the stuff. I also strain out the particulate matter every few dunkings with medium cheesecloth to extend the service life. It's kinda like polishing...

    Lost luggage advice?

United already does this. The one time in 5 years (I fly nearly 100k per year mind you) they lost my bag, they knew EXACTLY where it was and EXACTLY how long it would take to get it back to me. Guess who I fly?

New IDPA Holster Rules - Blade-Tech Belt Holster

I've measured once, twice and thrice with my HK USP, Kimber Compact CDP and Smith 945. I've also solicited visual "rulings" from my wife and neighbors. All of them seem to agree that Blade-Tech belt-slide holsters with Tek-Lok are legal under the new rules. We'll see next weekend...

    45ACP SWCs Jam 1911

Here's what has worked for me in very similar circumstances: Kimber Compact CDP. Wilson Combat magazines. Rainier 200gr SWC plated. 4.4-4.5gr Titegroup. Federal 150LP primer. 1.250 OAL. *** Never mind *** For what it's worth, I have had GREAT success with 1.250 for SWC...

    My new reloading bench!!!

Build it BIGGER than you planned! I knew if I didn't build it: 1. Big 2. Properly 3. Sturdy 4. Big 5. See 1 and 4 ...I wouldn't be happy. Cost: $120 for all the parts. My slave labor not included. :D I need to build another one.

    DU Leftists talking riots

Not really. It's not totally inconceivable that Democratic "well-wishers" would travel to Republican havens (like south Orange County where I reside) to show their displeasure. Like bank robbers "Go where the money is", so shall leftist wingnuts hell-bent on chaos and intimidation...

Question about flying with a flashlight.

While there is no "official" policy, any over-ambitious TSA agent could technically confiscate any item they deem to be a "weapon". I hate to say it, but what would you do? Miss your flight or hang out at security to argue about your flashlight? :uhoh:

Question about flying with a flashlight.

I've flown for more than 3 years with my Surefire E2E (non-Defender model). I put it in the plastic tray with my shoes, belt, watch, cellphone, etc. etc. before passing through the magnetometer. No problems ever. It is quite entertaining when some TSA agent invariably asks, "What's this?"...

AM I one of the great unwashed?

 With all due respect, if you're going to purchase a firearm for recreational or defensive applications that can be damaged via NORMAL use of factory installed mechanical implements, perhaps you should consider purchasing a different firearm. Myself, I have well-used aluminum and...
