    Do you like "Pretty Guns"?

Sure, I'll play... This one is pretty enough on its own without the embellishments. It came in 3 grades, the Standard, Renaissance and this Gold Line, which I much prefer. I feel the Renaissance is too much... but this one is just Right! Oh, btw... I have shot a Standard Medalist in...

What is the last gun that you bought?

I was messing around a couple of towns over, running some errands and thought I would look for some ammo at the local hardware stores, that also carry the stuff. I was not disappointed as no one had any! On my 3rd and final stop, I decided to take a stroll down to their gun counter. I swear, I...

    Your Most Valuable Gun

I have a few, but the 2 I am most proud of are the little Colt .25, engraved and gold inlaid with a set of matched, polished and Stabilized Giraffe Bone Grips... And my Browning Gold Line Medalist. Engraved and gold inlaid with the carved grips... I actually shoot a '63 standard model...

    I lost the battle

Wife, gun or both...? I'll get my hat...

    First attempt reloading

Is it just me or do the boolets look different on rounds 3 & 5?? (The center and shape of the tips... almost a different core) Maybe just #5 is different (can't tell by the pix). This may account for the different seating depth, etc.

New member here. Got some questions about Gunsbroker

Also be aware that nearly all sellers charge an extra 3 - 4% for using a card. You basically eat their cost of doing business this way. For high ticket items, I either go with a personal check (if we have done prior business... they don't hold for it to clear), or a Money Order. This avoids the...

    100yd .22LR shoot + ammo tests (pics/outcome)

Sorry to dredge up an old post. This is great stuff and made by Aguila in Mexico! Centurion is the exclusive importer. I was doing a search on Centurion .22 ammo and found this. I picked up a case in August and have had nothing but great success from it, whether it's out of one of my rifles...

Colt 1911 Aficionado's - The Time is Almost Here...

Hey, I like the way you think! Happy - very early BD! Start saving now as well.

Colt 1911 Aficionado's - The Time is Almost Here...

I'm thinking at least some drop dead gorgeous hand engraving (none of that laser engraving crap, etc.) and Gold inlays! Of course... on a classically - deeply blued and highly polished STEEL.

Colt 1911 Aficionado's - The Time is Almost Here...

Okay..., so I was just thinking... here it is 2009 almost 2010, and there ought to be some HUGE influx of Centennial Editions of the classic Colt 1911 in the works. I haven't heard anything about this but I am sure there are more than a few manufacturers out there thinking about the big day...

Shot myself with a .45 caliber last night.

"...I was obeying the golden rules and it was pointed right over and to the side of the sales clerks shoulder." Gee... I guess by saying the Golden Rules - I meant, "The Rules of Gun Safety". They should be the "Golden Rules", as I would want to be treated the same as I do around others with...

Shot myself with a .45 caliber last night.

WOW... Good thread! I applaud your bravery and admitting it. Yes, if ANYONE has been around guns for ANY length of time they are 100% going to have a story or a close call (even a far call). And, if not, you are either lying, it has slipped your mind, or it will happen tomorrow. It's going to...

    New 5mm Remington Magnum Rifles

I have heard rumblings about Savage, CZ, Cooper (which would really be awesome!), and I have my Taurus 5mm mag pistol on order! My boy and I took out the Remington 591M a few days ago and it was great to be shooting it again. That Centurion ammo rocks! Shot some unbelievable groups sighting...

All time classic movie gun line.

Another: Bogart is in the desert and the BG's have him surrounded. They are all big, fat & ugly, Mexican guys waiting to kill him... (In your best Spanish accent)... I don't think your friends are coming.

All time classic movie gun line.

My 1st Post... Hello All - Great Thread... Jim In Anchorage!! Being a Det. Callahan fan (who isn't??)... I can't remember all of the details as it has been a long time since I've seen it (way overdue). Harry is meeting the bad guy near a monument (I believe) just before he stabs the BG in...
