    New (to me) Curio Piece

Bought this CZ-52 from a guy selling on a local internet forum. For those of you not familiar, It's chambered in 7.62 X 25 Tokarev. It has a tremendously loud report and a quite a pronounced muzzle flip. The trigger leaves much to be desired. And, I'm not very accurate with it. But, it...

Remington Model 25 in 25 Rem?

I have inherited several guns from my father-in-law. One of them is, I think, a Remington Model 25 chambered in 25 REM. It also appears to have been modified with a side mounted peep sight. Can anyone confirm any of my assumptions, or provide me with any info about this interesting little...

    Cowboy Carbines

I always thought the 1894 in .30 WCF (or 30-30 if you prefer) was the penultimatet cowboy gun. It seemed to me the idea of having your revolver and your carbine chambered in the same caliber was a relatively newer idea. But, I've read a couple of things on the internet that suggest...

    Why do we need NRA-ILA?

It ticks me off that we need to have some entity, whos actions somtimes seem, IMHO, to be a little over the top. But, holy C&@P! have you seen the garbage that our congress is throwing on the legislative heap each week? Heres a list of bills newly introduced for the week of March 21-27...

    Anyone Reloading 7.62 X 25?

Contemplating a CZ52. What bullets would I buy? I see Sierra has some .32 cal (.312") in 71gr. Is this the right bullet?

    Walther P22 Barrel Swap problem

When I follow Walther's instruction for swapping out the barrel on my P22, I remove the barrel nut, and sleeve. And, then I slide the barrel rearward, where it hits the ejector. It will go no further, no matter how I rotate it or angle it. This is a used pistol. The PO had the 5" barrel...

    Trap at local club

I know nothing about shotgun sports. My club has a skeet and trap range along with a sporting 5-stand. It also has a clay thrower for members to use on their own when there's no organized shoot. My question is this, if there's just 2 guys shooting clays from a single fixed thrower, is the...

    Security Six Barrel swap?

I inherited a Security Six with a 6" barrel. I used to own one with a 4" barrel and a nice big front sight. I miss that revolver! Can I swap my 6" barrel for a 4"? How hard would it be to do it myself, assuming I can find one?

Faux News on New Law Pertaining to CCW

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,557503,00.html?loomia_ow=t0:s0:a16:g2:r1:c0.117895:b28018736:z0 My question: If they're well "concealed", who's to know? You could have a mad man with a Mac in his backpack. And you wouldn't know it till he pulled it out and started shooting. As...

    Cost/Benefit analysis

-----------------------------------------------------ADDED------------------------------------------------------------ OK, So I know this topic gets beat to death. I didn't see the pinned thread on reloading cost when I first posted this. I hope this thread might be of additional value. If...

    Eddystone M1917 Sporter

I've got this Eddystone M1917 30-06 that was my father-in-law's. He's passed away, and I want to keep this rifle. It is a very nice shooting rifle, but it is looking a little ragged these days. The stock is very chewed up from years of deer hunting. Since it is a sporter, I'm guessing it...

Interesting Article: "What Really Happens in a Gun Fight".

I found this article while surfing: "What Really Happens in a Gun Fight". This is really neat, and a must read. I like the point about the sight picture on the revolvers. I've got a Security Six with a big orange blade front sight. Makes me feel all warm and fuzy.

    Cali Microstamping law

So the California Kakistocracy passed their Microstamping law, due to take effect in 2010, as you all know. Besides the easy and obvious ways criminals can defeat this technology, there is one small "what if" I have question about. Perhaps one of you know the answer. Is there any provision...

Just had to brag a little {pic}!...

My dad bought this in '64. Still has all the box goodies. I tkae it out to the range occasionally. Of all the handguns I own. This one gives me the tightest groups.

    New XDM 9mm blues

So, I thought the XDM 9 would be a step up for me for IPSC production division competition. But there's a glitch. I discovered how "un-friendly" those XDM magazine base pads are. My mag tool's point does not fit in the tiny hole. And, instead of having a plate to push against with a button...

    Remington 1100: great info!

I found this link in a Remington Society discussion thread. It helped me so much I thought I'd repost it here. Gene Batchelar's "Remington 1100" .pdf: http://www.remingtonsociety.com/images/ ... sembly.pdf

Rem 1100 3" mag for light loads

I've read that I can set my 1100 3" magnum up to cycle light loads by putting in a 2 3/4" barrel and non-magnum action spring. Has anyone done this? Does the reciever get bashed up? Do I need to put the non-magnum action sleeve in as well?
