New S&W conceal carry gun? Is it right for me?

I came across this review and thought I would check to see if anyone was discussing the potential merits of the Shield. Since you all have started the thread I'll just continue on. Already some good takes on this. Thanks all...

    Montana Legal

This guy is taking an interesting approach... He's questioning federal authority to regulate rather then arguing the meaning behind constitutional verbiage. Anyone know more about this guy? Enjoy...

    Washington State Hoot and Shoot

Yeah.... came up Robinson the first night and drove down every turn out we came to. Must have taken a wrong turn cause we looped up North without seeing any barricades. Still got some shooting in, took out a rattler that was by our tents/a creek too. The views from up top were pretty...

Backpacking Yellowstone with a gun: open or concealed carry?

OP, If you're still on the fence; just do it. Open carrying is not as bad as people say it is. I'm sure there are people out there that "had a bad experience" but I highly doubt that will happen to you at Yellowstone. Its the PERFECT place to give OC-ing a try and get comfortable doing it...

Backpacking Yellowstone with a gun: open or concealed carry?

OC-ed last year I went in July last year (it was a sunday through tuesday). I remember finding out that Wyoming doesn't give reciprocity to WA CPL's but national parks just started allowing people to carry. So I open carried. Me: hiking boots, cargo shorts, long sleeved t-shirt, S&W 686+...

    Illinois Concealed Carry 2011

Good luck guys! I moved from the SW subburbs a little while back (for work, not political reasons) but love hearing about progress in IL. Doubt there's anything I can do out of state, but post any links to petitions and I'll forward them on to family

    Pawn Shop Purchase

Thanks for your input (and PM's) guys! Yeah, I'm looking for something to take hunting only. I do enjoy skeet and clays, but that hobby is only in my budget when I can go with my uncle ;) A few years down the road I see myself getting a nice o/u for non hunting recreation.

    Pawn Shop Purchase

I'm looking to pick up a camo coated 12 gauge to use for wild turkey and waterfowl hunting. I'm considering the Mossberg 535 or 835, or the Remington 887. I can't stir up any used offers, so I've turned to the local pawn shops. Today I came across a gun that the clerk told me was a 24" bbl...

Which Makes more sense: 2.5" Python or 3.5" 27-2

I saw that you just picked up that S&W. You're fishing for compliments. Colts are hot tickets, but what you have can inspire envy adequately. Ps when you go back to the brass chuckers I'll take that hot smith off you hands ;)
