this is why I am an anarchist, no party left or right will legalize drugs.
its none of the .gov busininess what drugs I do if I'm not hurting anyone.
its time to put the real thing back in Coke!

Isn't this what got us in this mess to start with?

I don't think this particular case has anything to do with militarization of police. This particular incident has more to do with cops doing dishonest and dishonorable things to either catch bad guys or cover their tracks. I like to think they just forgot that the ends don't justify the means, but I don't know if their intentions were good at all.

The militarization of police and no-knock warrants apply less in this case than they do in others. As I said earlier, they had to cut through burglar bars to get into the house. The lady knew they were there before they ever got inside.

I understand the cops got a no-knock warrant, and someone lied to get it. I don't get the "why". Did they intend to kill a 82 yr. old? I don't think so.

It's all about civil foreiture these days. That the whole point of the "war on drugs". (99% of it, anyway)

Pure cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup?
I'm all for that.

yup, probably healthier to have real sugar , not corn syrup, but I meant cocaine which afaik was in coca-cola at one point.
That may be an urban myth though.

I hope the victim's family takes every single one of these perps to civil court...

Not only the individuals, but the department and the jurisdiction that employed these clowns.

There is no real justice available, since they didn't get the chair, but since government really only cares about menoy, if they had to pay out $1 million in damages and $100 million in punative damages, it would be a start.
