So I had a synthetic black stock lying around and the black on black wasn't doing it for me. I figured there would be no loss experimenting on what is effectively plastic, so I grabbed some Kryon and gave it a paint job.

The process I used was a primer coat and Kryon Pebble color with satin finish (comes out as a light flat tan). I followed up with a coat of Kryon clear glaze hoping to make for a more durable finish. Didn't seem to help much, so next time I'll use a clear epoxy coat or something for the folding stock I ultimately plan to pair with this rifle.

I'd extoll the virtues of the rifle, but it's a 10/22 so you all know what it does. Fun stuff.

Looks pretty decent! It's fun tinkering with stuff like that. I got tired of trying to find a spray on product to go on my duck shotguns. I finally took my Mossberg 500 back to bare metal and squirted Duracoat on it. It was my first gun ever, so I will try to keep it in decent shape. I sold the Benelli and used that money to get a Mossberg 535 Waterfowl with the camo already on it. Tickles me to death to know that I don't have to mess with that one. LOL!

to me, the wood stock of the 10/22 gives it all the class an old timer like me will ever want. I love the classic looks of a real classic American icon.
