10/22 web forum

I am diving head first into the world of the 10/22 and would like some advice from current devotees on where to go for...

advice
picts of builds and descriptions of mods
parts
dealers
chatter
etc
etc
etc

I am not looking for anything ultra special. I actually like the standard laminate and 20" bull barrel model. I think with a couple of 30rd mags from Ramline and a nice sight system it would be a great plinkin/target gun.

There are experts here but a website dedicated to rimfires is rimfirecentral.com

PS I'd stay away from Ramline mags and go with Butler Creek instead.

everything jthuang said. if you havnt been to rimfirecentral.com, you had better fasten your seatbelt. there is more 10/22 infomation over there than you can shake a rifle at.

Like they said.
Especially the part about Ramline mags being junk. Butler Creek Steel Lips are good, but I usually just use the Ruger factory mags. I have about 2 dozen of them. It works out well. Shoot all loaded mags...reload mags and let gun cool... Repeat as necessary.
