Hi everybody,
I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a quality manufacturer of a 10 gauge side by side? After using my dad's Zabala Hermanos in 12ga, I'm impressed with the company however, I have read some reviews about Hermanos producing low end, low quality shotguns. This surprised me but I guess quality changes over the years, the one I've been able to use was imported by interarms(?) back in the day, and the reviews seem to be current.
Thanks for any info,

God created men, Samuel Colt made them equal

10 guage sxs

Very limited supply of sxs of any type. More pumps and many pumps with three and half twelve guage chambering. My father had a Richland Arms ten guage sxs he used for goose hunting. I can stand a lot of recoil but the gun was so poorly designed that a very few rounds had my face and my shoulder quite bruised.

10 ga. SxS

In a word, no. Some years back American Arms was importing both SxS and O/U models with choke tubes that allowed for both waterfowl and turkey hunting. I owned an O/U Turkey Special. With 26" barrels it weighed 10 lbs. 1 oz. empty. I know of none made or imported since. I gave the Canada Geese down here fits with it for a while. As steel shot improved and the gray hairs increased I moved on.

I'd look for one of those in your position.

I had an AYA Matador and a Richland 711 and they were both pretty well made in my opinion. No Purdeys, but better than a Stevens 311. Not bad balance. Never a hiccup. But, I thought they were just too damn heavy. Had no problem with any 10 gauge loads. And i ran thru an Ithaca Mag-10 and 3 BPS 10s. I had the last BPS lightened a lot and it handled a whole lot better, but you were unlikely to sleep thru a round or two. Since tungsten, I went back to 3" 12s.
