I've been seeing many low count posters coming out of the shadows lately which is good news.

However 1851 with 0 posts I'm wondering how many look around once and never come back.

10k in not a lot over a year ... pretty impressive :)

General ...
By the way... how do I contribute to The High Road general fund or what have you?
AFAIK .... any offer will not be accepted ... it has been tried. It seems the ''team'' front the whole deal and wish to keep it thus. Maybe a mod can step in and confirm this or correct me.

That is correct. The staff foots the bill. THR doesn't accept donations because we don't want to be beholden to anybody in particular.

By the way... how do I contribute to The High Road general fund or what have you? I spend so much time here I really should help out. Anyone?

From what I understand, no donations are accepted.

Sheesh, where have you two been hiding. I thought that the policy was that the first person to respond with "Just send it in care of .... " gets it from that particular new guy  .

That apparently not being the case  :D just a thank you to Oleg & the assorted mods is all they will accept (something I need to remember to do on a more regular basis).

Yeah, Oleg doesn't accept money to help offset the expense of operating THR. That's part of what makes him such a great guy.

Cool9mm, just put your mouse cursor over the "Profile" button at the bottom of any post you've made. If you look at the bottom of the screen while doing so, it will show a final entry - that's your user/member number. Yours is 4157.

Well - to the people responsible for The High Road...
THANKS for all the good stuff here
My member # is 4332 - always wondered about that...
Correia...
I was about to put my Molon Labe hat check in the post... How 'bout I foot the bill for a hat for our esteemed Mr. Stephen B. Bacckus. I'll add $12.00 to my check if you'll take care of shipping? Can we get a shipping address on him? Would he accept it? Nobody would be beholden to anyone else on this....:) I await your reply.

Anybody know how many ACTIVE members there are? (Defined as logging on at least once every __, whether posting or not.) Can't be 100%, but could be well over 50%, I'd bet.

General, that is pretty much up to him. :) I haven't spoken with the man.

4252 people have logged in since the beginning of March.

I know of no way to track "people who log in once a week" or anything like that.

The other way to define "active members" would be by post count, as follows:

~3600 members have 20 posts or more
~3900 have 15 posts or more
~4500 have 10 posts or more
and ~7700 people have posted at least once

Any which way you count it, THR is doing pretty well. ;)

Agreed. There must be lots of active lurkers who have rarely or never posted. Curious how the stats would compare to other gun boards or single topic non-gun boards.

In any event, I'm proud to be part of this community -- even if the time I spend on here too often conflicts with me getting actual work done.

I'd still like to see an official, members only THR pin, hat, and T-shirt. Oleg, why not the flag banner at the top of the page? Is that too complex to translate onto a pin?

Nothing happens when I do this. Is there a setting I have to change to be able to do this?

gbelleh ... it should show but .. not within the browser window itself ... it should be visible right down bottom of browser, bottom left, in the ''status'' bar ... and will show whilst mouse cursor is ''hovered'' over profile button.. Try again.

This is what would occur with IE6 - but not sure what browser you have.

Edit to add .. this is what you should see . I hovered over your profile button (shows as ''AD'' here because of my firewall settings!!) - look at very bottom right in the image, the URL text ... the user ID is at the end. HTH ....
