I have reached my 1000th post and have learned a few things from THR. If you look back at my older posts you can see I've come a long way. I have recently severed the tendons in my hand and am confined to office duty. And yall get to be subjected to my ramblings. So bear with me as this is all typed one handed on pain meds.

A few tidbits of the knowledge gleaned are as follows:

Glocks are the worst guns ever, they kaboom, have horrible ergonomics and cant hit the broad side of a barn from the inside. Certified Mall Ninjas "are the only one professional enough" to handle said weapons......I now own 4 Glocks with more to come.

Glocks are the best gun ever created. They go bang everytime. They are the AK-47 of the pistol world. They are ugly, souless, but they are reliable to a fault.

MIM is the worst creation in the firearm industry, except when it brings the cost down.

1911s are jam-o-matics with a long history of failing in combat....I guess 17 year old G.I.s had time to do 500 round break-ins and swap out all the parts.

Your 1911 runs 100% after you changed the recoil spring, guide rod, MSH, hammer, hammer spring, ambi safety...etc

Colts are only cost so much because you're paying for the pony stamped on it.

Smith and Wesson lawyer lock......nuff said.

ARs jam and AKs are inaccurate.

ARs only run dripping wet, unless you are in a sandy enviroment then they only run bone dry.

My AK will shoot .17" allllll day if I do my part.

The only .30 caliber semi worth owning is a M1A, unless you shoot a FAL, or AR-10, or PTR-91....but real shooters know the Garand is the end all be all.

Walmart is the anti-christ, unless I need ammo, fishing gear, baby formula, Red Diamond sweet tea, or Dorritos.

Larry Correia is one of my favorite authors. Monster Hunter Alpha and Hard Magic are now available. I strongly suggest picking up a copy. He doesnt disapoint.

Stockpiling ammo is just silly, and is part of the availability and price problem. Unless zombies attack. (I am covered)

.380 is not a valid CCW round.

9mm will over penetrate and kill 234 innocent bystanders.

.40 is just a compromise round and I dont compromise.

.45 with just a nick to the pinky fingernail wii cause the recipient to spin like a top and appendages to fly off.

10mm is the best round ever but only if you reload.

The only valid CCW option is twin Deagles (yeah I went there) in a double shoulder holster.

Call of Duty and Halo are valid training programs.

The only tactical rifle you will ever need is a lever action .357.

The ATF is the worst Gestapo, jack booted, rights trampling agency....except for when I get another tax stamp in.

High Points are junk, unless you have owned one.

Reloading saves you money.:uhoh:

Getting my CHL was my best investment.

I have since learned to build (read: assemble) some top tier AR-15 pattern rifles.

THR has some of the most honest members, this can be verified through many transactions and the feedback forum.

I would like to thank yall for 6 years of great learning experience. I look forward to many more. Please note none of these comments were directed at anyone in particular unless mentioned by name. I may think of more and edit as I see fit.

You forgot a few.....

Pythons have the triggers smoother than a baby's butt and can put all 6rds through the same hole without being aimed. However, they can't handle a steady diet of .357magnum with developing timing issues.

Ruger revolvers are ugly, heavy and overbuilt tanks that people only buy because they feel S&W's are too expensive. (Unless you want a single action, no safety, shoot hot loads or easily mount a scope.)

S&W's were "just better" in the old days especially the triggers. (The 15+ years worth of shooting and dryfiring have nothing to do with it.)

The AR-15 is the only worthwhile black rifle in the world but it's most widespread cartridge is utter rubbish and useless on anything over 90lbs.

It is a genuine matter of FACT, that a 5" 1911 can be easily carried with an IWB holster, safely, without detection and with complete comfort by everyone on the planet regardless of height, age, body-type, clothing style, work enviroment and daily level of activity.... as long as you wear a "good sturdy belt."

You seem to be posting at about the same snail pace as I am..almost 2000 posts in 9 years.

Lets see...

You have to duck when you shoot a Beretta, for surely the locking block will crack and the slide will hit you in the face...

Support your local gun dealer and pay a stiff price, but it's ok to mail order ammo for a savings.

The 5.56 round will hit VC in the shoulder, travel the length of his body and tumble out his right toe.

Phone books make an excellent test medium for simulating real flesh.

A 3" or smaller barreled .45 shooting 230gr Ball will have velocities approaching a well thrown rock.

Everyone can shoot 1/4 " groups with a surplus Mosin Nagant on a windy day...offhand.

Yes....that really is your wife/girlfreind/significant other (only for pink glock shooters), in the picture.

It really is a good idea to mount a full size gun safe in the back seat of your car...sorry, had to poke at a recent thread!
