Most of the 10mm stuff I load is 1200-1400 FPS quick. I've had bad experiences with plated bullets going that fast. I've yet to go to hard cast in this caliber, but am probably about to go there.
I'm running low on the batch of 3,000 Hornady Action Pistol bullets I got a couple years ago..... which are now unobtainium.
Other jacketed options are bank breakers at this point-- 25 cents each at minimum.....no thank you.

Any experiences with plated bullets being able to hold up to 10mm velocities? My bad experiences have been with Berry's bullets beginning to keyhole around 1,100fps. using a light taper crimp in a Glock.... I've used Xtreme's plated hollow points in 357 magnum in medium to high velocities without problem....wondering if the plated are worth a second look.

I have the Alpha/Lone wolf barrels in my Glock 20 and 40MOS so seriously thinking hard cast and calling it a day. Any thoughts or recommendations on 10mm bullets that can run full speed with accuracy and wont lead up the barrel, please chime in.
Thanks.

I use cast bullets in every handgun I own, including my 10mm Springfield XDm. Most I cast myself, but I've used 10mm bullets from Montana Bullets and Matt's Bullets, both with excellent results.

Montana has a great powder coated 200 gr. bullet, and Matt's has an equally good 180 gr. truncated cone bullet that's conventionally lubed.

I've used them both with very stout charges of Hodgdon Longshot with zero leading, and excellent accuracy.

I've pushed 18BHN PC hardcast bullets from MBC to 1,597fps in a 460S&W with great satisfaction. In general, good hardcast can be pushed pretty fast! So far in 10mm, I've got 1,333fps out of 13BHN Brazos 180 grainers PC hardcast. However, I've had good results from 165 grain X-Treme plateds to 1,401fps in 10mm. All these results were in 4 or 5" revolvers.

Pretty good recoil!
