In Liberal States...
Liberal activist prosecutors look for every angle to nail the victim who had the audacity to take a proactive approach to his/her own protection. That's why states without a
Castle Doctrine are
not looking out for the tax payer citizen.
A call to the cops puts it all in the past tense. You've
been robbed,
been raped,
been beaten. They like that. They file reports and offer counseling. It supports that big ole infrastructure, with all those offices, jobs, and sweetheart pensions. Settling matters yourself, with appropriate lethal counter-force, circumvents all that.
Don't tell me differently, as I live in Wiskonsin, where we wring our hands over the perp, and his tragic childhood, and intimidate the working home owner. What's more, I live in Milwaukee--about as crooked a county as you could muster!
We had one case, of an elderly woman holding a perp at gunpoint, while she dialed 911. There were kids in the house... The evening news made a big deal over cops scolding her for pointing a loaded gun at the perp (a felony), as they contemplated charging her (she was near penniless). They went on to show a bunch of grannies taking karate lessons (no, I'm not kidding!) as an alternative to an armed response! They ultimately did not charge her, but confiscated her gun; the very flower of Liberalism... What the hell gives them the right to confiscate her gun?! They virtually always confiscate the homeowner's gun here.
Wiskonsin is one of two states left with no CCW permits available to its citizens, even though popular vote calls for it. When asked, the last time he shot it down, Governor Diamond Jim Doyle responded, "How does this help our children?"
Doyle was the state's Attorney General when then Mayor Paul Soglin tried to invoke a DC-style Handgun Ban on the state's capital (Madison) in 1994. Then Governor Tommy Thompson blew that out of the water, and Doyle was furious!
Latest Doyle proposals include,
Single-Shot Only, pistols and rifles, and the right for any
Wiskonsin Municipality to Invoke Whatever Gun Laws or Bans it feels Fit to Create!
:banghead: Thanks for your indulgence. Probably saved me a stroke.
10 mm is an awfully potent SD round. But there are semi-frangible JHP ammos, such as Double Tap's 135 Gr Nosler. At 1600 FPS, and 767 Ft. Lbs., its bullet would not likely exit a center-mass hit on a perp, or an exterior wall. But the wound inflicted is downright awful. The performance is in the ballpark with top .357 magnum SD rounds, which many State Patrols carried for years.
