I find it messes with my sense of hearing direction. I have a set of Walker Silencers that I use on occasion and while it tends to amplify some sounds it does not amplify the entire audio spectrum the same and these leaves the fidelity lackluster. I don't find them that much better or worst than my unaided hearing but they are less comfortable for all day wear.I wear electronic ear muffs out in the woods when hunting tree stands as it actually enhances my ability to hear a twig snap, leaves crunching from a wandering deer.
