I guess it's too hot based on your comment?? It's HOT here in GA and the humidity could choke a mule:cuss:
Heat is one problem. The weatherman says that we can except 104 tomorrow. It is currently 104 at 5:30pm. The other problem is wildfires. During the summer all public land is closed for shooting because of the problems with fires.

Oh, I see. I didn't even consider that. 104 tomorrow you say? That's hot. Is there a heat index factor the local weather folks give you? for instance...It's a 104 tomorrow.... it will feel like 110? So whats' the cutoff and start back date for shooting on public land in AZ? That has to be frustrating? Thanks, Tim

It's not as bad in Az where I'm at, 100 where as Lyle is usually 5 to 7 degrees warmer. After it hits 100 the point is moot, its HOT.

Well over here we got a ton on rain with standing water like it was spring run off last month so shortly thereafter until now the mosquitoes are so thick I cant go outside most of the day without mosquitoes up my nose, in my ears and devouring every inch of exposed skin.
As much as I hate the heat it might be better than this

caps take production away from primers, so I expect they'll be out the longest. That said, when I bought some 2 years ago, they were about $7/1000, ordered, $9.20/1000 with tax at retail, and up until the panic they stayed the same. I bought a #11 cap maker from 22sharpshooter. It works, but I'm not using it yet. I bought a bunch right before prices started to rise by chance.

sorta like the tapocap

the have been hard to find since all this crazyness started, I could find them a few months after primers dried up, but not they are hard to find locally, and getting pricey

In CT, we've had a cool and rainy summer.
I'm not complaining at all because last year we had a drought.
Spoke with one person from NH. Apparently a lot of rain up north for several straight days...like 17 straight days at one point. The weather is quite different on planet earth compared to, lets say, 20 years ago? At least it seems to me.

I hear that Malachi!! Mosquitos here in GA? UH....yeah!!...but doesn't seem quite as bad as what you are experiencing? Down here in GA, if your not familiar with the term, some call them "no sees" ??. They are so small but they manage eat you alive. :cuss:
We too have had a lot of rain. Rain is good though. It is, what it is right? Not a fan of heat either but humidity? Argh!! Safe to say, HOT IS HOT??

I switched the nipple over to musket and am shooting the Schuetzen Musket Caps at 6 cents a piece. Grafs

Some Walmarts are now receiving their muzzle loader supplies which includes CCI #11 caps @ $4.96.
Hey. Thank you arcticap. I will check. Maybe they will actually get some in here too. Seems like no one is ever at the counter at our Walmart's though. :cuss: HAHAHAHAHAHA

By the way. How did you find out about the caps at Walmart? You go to the store? Thanks again

Today someone posted a photo of the BP supplies in Carthage, Tennessee, showing that they had fully stocked shelves.
It's a small town in a deer hunting area.
They have all kinds of BP accessories including a brass straight line capper, a brass push button flask and a clear powder measure made by Allen under the brand name "Thunder Cloud."

Walmart stores here don't carry them at all. 4 Walmart's here where I live. I went to a local pawn/gun shop. Never had been in there. I said why not. Pulled in. Lady scratched her head,... no...we don't have those. Thank goodness a guy over the counter said yes we have those. They only had 10 tins of #11. Bought them all as they said they weren't going to carry them anymore? I Feel very lucky. $3.89 a tin.
You lucky dog. That's like finding a winning lottery ticket these days.

I haven’t found powder or caps locally in over a year. I did find one small shop nearby that had a few flints. The local WalMart never carries BP supplies and has practically nothing in the firearms case. Fortunately, I have managed to acquire a fair supply of BP and caps before the craziness started. There a couple of big box retailers about 30 miles away that I will have to check when I have time but, I don’t have much hope.

Morning jdavis123, I guess if we lived in Tennessee, we might have more options at the Walmart' stores? Zero in firearms cases here too. Sad. now it seems we are back at square one with the covid delta mess again. one step forward, 3 steps back. :cuss:
