My Sierra Load book has no data with their 125 grain spitzer bullet with Varget powder.. Is there any way to use Varget with this bullet safely? I don't really like using anything other than Varget since it's produced great results for me in both my .308 and .223...

I usually load 168 SMK's over 43 grains of Varget in the .308..

Got some 125's to have somthing a little lighter and faster for fun.

Hodgdon says:
125 gr Sierra.
COL= 2.700".
Win case - Fed 210M primer
Varget.

48.0 Start = 3,049 FPS - 42,400 CUP
50.0 Compressed MAX = 3,135 FPS - 45,700 CUP.

It seems it's slow enough you can't get enough of it in the case to not be safe.

Excellent. Thanks.

I will load some at 48 and post the results.. Should be pretty light and fun to shoot. I love trying new things.

You have more posts in this forum than I have ever seen. That's amazing..
I used to be very active here a few years ago.. Finally getting back into shooting with some better rifles.

What's even more amazing is that he doesn't even use a computer. THR is transmitted right into and out of his subconscious. :)
