Wow. Just wow. That was an odd one...

I for one really enjoyed the posts on page one. Thanks retrieverman and other who posted pics, its nice to see deer from down there.

And the video that was posted re: the Argentine 7.62 was great! I love the way you went back and forth between the rifle, and the deer, kept things interesting, and better than long minutes of the gun, and then long minutes of the deer. Good post there! Interesting front sight on that Cavalry model.

Thanks again. Sorry the rhetoric got so twisted up.
 
Argentines

When I was a kid we shot a lightly sporterized Arg as the boys deer rifle.

I've got two of those old 1891 Arg Carbines. They both have those old pyramid sights. The Engineer model shoots point of aim at 100 yards. This model shoots about four inches left at 100. Now I have killed deer with both of them, and my 1909 Arg Carbine.

Kind of browsing around for an Arg rolling block now. Next year. Pretty much shot through all the old military rifles in the house.
