Anyone have issues with 147gr bullets, specifically RMR in a S&W Shield? I saw on RMR website they can’t be loaded in Glocks or CZ. Looking to load 147gr to soften the recoil/muzzle flip just a little bit.

To address your question specifically, since your Shield isn't either a Glock or a CZ that the RMR warning concerns, why would you expect any issues?

I have run 147 Acme HiTeks in Shields with zero issues. These are a standard TCFP design like the RMR Matchwinners. You do have to watch out for limp wristing, as it can cause FTE/FTF issues when youre only pushing 950ish FPS with something like TiteGroup or N320.

My experience with different 9mm bullet weights is relates to my Ruger Security 9 Compact (3.42 inch barrel). My break-in rounds were 115 gr. Then I tested for accuracy with 147 grain and 124 grain. I found that the 124 grain was the best of the three in terms of recoil and accuracy. I saw no meaningful difference in muzzle rise between 124 and 147. I did feel the difference in recoil. Bottom line was that I achieved best accuracy with 124 grain. Ammo for the tests was Blazer brass FMJ and Federal HST JHP. Offer this because I thought 147 grain would be best, but for me it was not.

The only thing I've encountered with using 147 gr JHPs in my 9mm pistols as bullets needed to be seated way shorter than book OAL to plunk in two of my pistols and factory Winchester 147s were too long to plunk...

Shield ... 147gr ... RMR
Working OAL for Shield 9mm with RMR 147 gr FP MW is 1.130" - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...cro-9s-which-projectile.895731/#post-12072427

Looking to ... soften the recoil/muzzle flip just a little bit.
FWIW, for my Shield 9mm, general purpose range blasting ammo is 115 gr FMJ/RN plated loaded to 1.110"-1.115" OAL with 4.1-4.2 gr of Promo that produced pleasant mild recoil which has been a joy for shooting drills (No unpleasant snappy recoil). 4.4-4.5 gr of Promo produced slightly less than Winchester white box in felt recoil - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...for-more-accurate-loads.841097/#post-10919894
