15 round 9mm DSG Arms Mags for Sig P229

Hi has anyone had any experience with these higher cap 15 round mags from DSG Arms. They look interested and give you an extra two bullets compared to the more expensive Sig brand 13 round mags for this gun. However, I would like to know from people's personal experiences of the reliability and quality of these mags in their Sig 229 guns.

Never heard of DSG Arms, but those look like Mec-Gar 15rd magazines.

They're just as good as the factory mags and in fact they make the factory mags for a lot of pistols.

And I'll vouch for the mags. Bought 4 of the Mec-Gars from shootersplus.com. I've shot probably 400 rounds through them, no issues.
ETA: Just looked at my factory mags, SIG factory mags are stamped Mec-Gar. (at least for the P229)

Can these 15 round mags fit in my Sig P229 Elite model? I thought they were rated or at least compatible for only up to the 13 round mags. Would these mags work properly in the SIg P229 Elite model, that is without any tinkering and would they be reliable?

Yes, they will fit with no gap. The original mag only allowed 13 but Mec-Gar changed the spring/follower design which allowed 2 more rounds to fit in the same mag body.

You should have no problems with reliability as they make the factory Sig mags on some models.

Sounds great.. So should I pass on the 13 rounders and just go for the 15 round mags? What is the advantaqge of the 13 rounders, are they smaller? Do the 15 round mags have the same length as the 13 rounders or are they bit longer? Would the 15 round mags make concealment more difficult with the P229 Elite?
