I just purchased a new Sig P229 SCT model with night sites in 9mm. I won the gun for a ridiculously low price on Auction Arms. It came with 4 18 round mags and I have since added two standard 13 round mags for conceal carry. I have drooled over these guns ever since my brother used one to qualify at POST. I have owned several polymer guns, (Sig SP2022, Glock 19, XD45, M&P .40) and metal framed guns (Kimber 1911 , Taurus PT92, Beretta 92) but I believe that I enjoy that way this one shoots the most. It has it's pros and cons as a conceal gun, (the Glock 19 is a serious competitor in the CC class, IMO), but I am in love with the way the Sig performed on the range. I had a Sig SP2022 which I LOVED, but had to sell for financial reasons. I love the triggers on the Sigs.
Recently I took my wife out to shoot the 229- she is 9 months pregnant and I was hoping it would help the baby come out a little faster- just kidding. It didn't help the baby come faster, but my wife shot the gun better than any of my other pistols including my Glock 19, Kimber 1911, and XD45 which are very accurate. The top pic is my shooting at 15 yards with Federal 124 grain FMJ and the bottom is my wife's shooting at 10 yards. Enjoy!
