I like to color outside the lines as much as anyone, but a square base 158 grain jacketed bullet in 9mm brass is too far out for me.
Very poor risk : reward ratio.
I’ve used .358” 125 lead, plated and jacketed in 9mm but not 158.
Even the 9mm 147 XTP is boat tailed to deal with the deep seating.

Not all 9mm brass is the same, and some will handle long heavy bullets without excess bulging. Also, NAS3 case walls are a little different than regular 9mm cases.

I shot a lot of 150 grain swc (RCBS 38-150KT) out of a Beretta 92, a Taurus 92and a smith 39. Great accuracy and deadly on bowling pins. I, personally, won’t go heavier. I’m thinking of running a batch and trying them in my EC9 and my Max9.
After much searching around it looks like 3n37 is very good and I have some.
3n38 might be even better, I do not have any.
HS6, hp38 burns too fast, I thought HP38 or HS6 was going to be where it's at.
AA5 would be good but I don't have any.
Nope they're new. I do have a neoprene pusher insert for lee 9mm, 38spl, 357mag, 38super dies. It's supposed to make sizing easier by pushing back a bit, I haven't used it.
If that don't work I'll get some special s4 dies. A lee 9mm sizer with that helper/pusher thing looks a lot like the special s4 dies.
