180gr XTP in 44 mag question....

Just a basic question about the 180gr XTP 44 mag bullet for reloading. Are these projectiles exclusively hollow point, or is there a non-hollow point version?

The EXtreme Terminal Performance is only in a hollow point as far as I’m aware. I know some guys that (in certain cartridges) run the HAP bullet for target applications and have had them behave pretty much identically to the XTP on paper.

The 158 XTP-FP’s are still a hollow point bullet. The cavity is much, much smaller, but it’s still a cavity, and it’s still a relatively rapid-expanding bullet. Not really the same as what a guy would expect from a flat-nosed lead soft point bullet.
