Handmade in the Ukraine, it took a while to get here, but I’m pleased so far. Seems pretty well made, and looks good on my new Winchester/Miroku 1886. Anyway, talk amongst yourselves.
Cheers!
Tom

Looks very nicely made -- and a suitable period look for this rifle! Looks nicer than the carrier on Tom Sellack's 1876 from the film Crossfire Trail:

Is it comfortable for you to use with regard to your cheek position? Without actually handling it, I think I'd want the suede pad a little further forward, given where my cheek usually comes into contact with the stock. But then I might be doing it wrong. :)

Also, do the inner surfaces of the lacing grommets come into contact with the stock? Just curious whether those metal bits might have the potential to scratch the wood surface. A thin leather flap under the laces would prevent that, or perhaps the thickness of the laces themselves would provide enough space to prevent contact.

Haven’t fired it yet with it installed, so may need some adjusting. It does have a protective flap, though. 0CE18745-AED9-4BB7-BDDC-54DDD2B959DE.jpeg
