I picked up this 1893 Turkish Mauser a few years ago and It's one of my favorites of my Turk collection. It is non matching like most Turks but, just about every part is marked with a Turkish moon.
It still has the Magazine cut off box and stright grip stock.
I have a fedish for Turkish Mausers that's almost as bad as my fedish for 22 rifles. This one put me at number 14 in my Turk collection, but more have been added since then.
Well here are a few pic's.

Pretty decent Turk, and you don't see a lot with the mag cutoff still there. Always interesting having the Farsi on the receiver.

I follow your posts on rifles that interest me, and thank you for doing it.

Nice rifle. I have never seen one with the cutoff box. I have a few Turks myself. I am glad I stocked up on Turk ammo when it was cheap. Those rifles sure shoot good...chris3

Gunny: Did the Turk rifle come with the white markings or did you do that? And if you did it, how?
It's just white crayon used to hight-lite the markings.
I get them from my kids. ;)

Just clean the area with denatured alcohol and then rub the crayon over the markings. Then wipe with a soft cloth.

Thanks, Gunny. My children have all had children and some of those children have had children and they've all scattered to the four winds. Guess I'll have to buy my first box of crayons in a coon's age.
