Besides Sarco and Numrich, where are other places to look for parts?

I want to find a replacement barrel from the same year ('22) in case I have to replace it. Anyone know where to look that might have a stock of older barrels? I would like to keep it as original as possible.

Is there a possibility that the CMP might have some? Where do you guys look for NOS parts for your 1903 rifles and rifles from that era?

Thanks!

Maybe try dgrguns.com (Dean's Gun Restoration), for Criterion barrels for the 1903 Springfield. The CMP is also listed as being another source for Criterion barrels.

Thanks for the link.

As for the Criterion barrel, it won't have the flaming bomb and 1922 stamp on it. I've seen some early year barrels, hoping to find a '22 from SA that I can grease up and stash away if ever needed.

So my search has led to all kinds of discoveries!

I searched on www.m1903.com for info and they're the best when it comes to 1903's. I gave them my info on my rifle and they checked them out. Come to find out my 1903 is a National Match rifle with a Star Gauge Barrel.

All the parts on my rifle are from the factory, man I wish this rifle could talk! I can't even imagine what kind of stories it could tell!

You may get some luck on the CMP "For Sale" area of the forum.
