I have a Colt 1911 22 Conversion that I bought years ago. I haven't used it in over 10 years and would like to use it again, but dang if I can quite remember where to put the stamped ejector piece. :-( I have searched this site as well as Google and Yahoo and can't find any help. How about it?

Thanks,

Ron

Just put it in a box...

Then, address it to me. Send it postage due. It's the least I can contribute for your troubles.

The ejector slides onto a slot on the left side of the barrel (viewed with the slide top facing the ground). The the ejector slides into a slot cut into the slide. The key to dropping in the ejector is to first fit it to the barrell and then move the barrel forward towards the bushing unti the ejector drops down. Then push the barrel back towards the breach and the ejector will slide right into the slot in the frame. It's really easy and will take less than a second to do.

Bearman,

Thanks for the URL to the manual. It was a great help. I saved it to my harddrive and printed it out.

Mac Attack,

I really apprecaite the tip on installing the ejector. It really helped.

What was funny was 10 years ago I could assemble the thing like a champ. Now here I was trying to use it and coming up with the ejector and going "Now how does this go in?"

Thanks again, very much appreciated.

Ron
