Hi Folks,

I'm thinking of swapping the fixed rear sight on my Delta Elite for an adjustable. Also thinking to go with a fiber optic front sight. What do you recommend?

Thank you in advance.

Old Bo Mar style, though you'll have to have the slide milled to accept it. They're available, reliable and have several sight blade options (rounded corners, cut off corners, etc). There's also a Novak-looking adjustable unit that gets good reviews, though I've never used one.

If you gun is meant for defensive purposes, there are certain features of the Novak sights which make them less than ideal for that use

If the weapon is for CCW, many adjustable sights can be awkward. I carry a BHP with fixed sights, but I bought another one a while back when they were difficult to find that has adjustable sights. I made it a safe queen, but I wish it had fixed sights. I may change them out, but I hate to mess with the pistol. Of course, if the gun is not for CCW, adjustable sights are good.:)

I don't know if they still make them, but I've got Pachmayr adjustable sights on my Browning Hi Power and Glock 22. I had them on my Series 70 Colt until it became my bullseye wadcutter gun and ended up with a Weaver rail and an UltraDot.

I like them.

My Springfield bullseye ball gun has a Bomar front and rear. Not great for carry, but doable.

Novak's are what Colt puts on in the factory. Put high visibility sights on my Series 70 long ago. Should have used adjustables then.
