Good afternoon.
I was looking to replace the rear sight on my XDM Mod2 9mm. I do however, like the fiber optic front sight that comes with it and was looking to keep it on.
I inquired with Dawson Precision who recommended replacing both front and rear sights. They stated that the front sight is higher than the OEM front sight.
Has anyone done just a rear sight replacement on an XDM. I know with an adjustable rear sight that one can adjust, but I don't know if the difference is such that one cannot adjust the rear sight enough to compensate for the differenc. Or, will it work just fine. The Dawson Precision front sight looks the same in the picture, but I cannot tell the height of their sight to do a comparison.
