I started browsing around on Brownell's to get a standard GI stubby guide rod and plug, and then, as per usual when I start ordering stuff online, I start going hog-wild. Basically, I'm looking to improve on this 1911 of mine, and then I started wondering if I should get anything for the new Colt M4 I'm getting from WildAlaska, so right now it's looking like this:

Springfield 1911:

087-881-001 -- recoil spring plug
087-882-001 -- recoil spring guide, let's get rid of that 2-piece FLGR

087-818-030 -- Ed Brown Flat Maxi-Well MSH, blued, to replace current Springfield ILS MSH
160-113-250 -- replacement hammer strut
087-045-919 -- mainspring

I guess I also need a MSH cap, pin, and a new firing pin spring... can't seem to find those in individual parts numbers, am I going to have to get a kit like 087-814-000 to cover the first two? Or does the Brown MSH come with a cap and pin?

Read through some threads and it was recommended that I replace the firing pin as well--would I want to get an 087-205-826 or a 087-808-001?

087-813-070 -- Ed Brown Hardcore Extractor--never had any extractor problems, but, hey, what the hell. Wish it was parkerized, though, because it won't match up with that part of my slide

924-200-045 -- Kuhnhausen's Colt .45 manual

Colt AR:

100-000-637 -- LULA magloader for the new AR

539-832-212 -- Lyman dial caliper, because I don't have one and I need to buy my dad's reloading stuff off of him one of these days

Anything else I should get that would be a general good idea for the pistol, AR, or in general while I'm ordering?
