You don't have a problem, Your OK.
The other day a friend stopped by to show me the No1 MKIII Enfield he had just picked up.
He asked me how many Enfields I had and I said about 10. Then I went and counted 14. That's close enough to 10, Right?
And yes those AR parts are cheap this week. I have another stripped lower and upper coming and a complete upper also.

I was just kidding...I dont care if I do have "a problem".

Haha, I used to have twelve stripped lowers, I think I have 3 left. I need to restock as soon as the PSA $39.99 blems come back. The problem is they used to come with $10 transfer fees but that shop closed due to bad book keeping and now the cheapest is $20. Still no concern for me... Still $60-$65 stripped lowers.

interesting. I'll have to take a look. I forgot to mention that your frame looks in better condition than mine. I'm not saying mine is bad but there's a lot of very light scratching.I think with a little bit of time and a good clock they will buff out but I was kind of surprised. I thought about asking them to exchange it out but I don't want to run the risk since they said some come and some do not come with checkering and mine did

I've never done one from the ground up, but I've fit parts to my various 1911's before. It's not rocket science. Brownells has tons of parts and jigs and tools and videos to help you get it done. The first one is the most expensive, because you need a bunch of tools, but, if you have a little time and a little money I'm sure you can get it done.

Another data point

After Gunny's impulse infected me I played around with my set a little today.

A 1911 is not an AR, as we all said, but these are good quality parts and the four I have went to together to spec without any fitting. This seems like a good buy if you wanted to get into building 1911's. I'm certainly happy with them. For those interested, quick and dirty measurements: Top lug engagement: .048"; Slide to frame vertical play: .008"; Slide to frame Horizontal play: .006". Barrel does not seem to be riding the link, but I'm not going to get to into that fit until the slide stop I plan on using gets here. Like the other two, I hadn't budgeted for a build this summer so this will take a while to get all the parts.

Preliminary Thumbs Up for PSA's parts though. they look like a great value.
