1911 Desert Eagle

My son and I went to the LGS today and he notices a 1911 Desert Eagle. A guy had bought it and took it to the range one time. His wife found out and made him take it back. This is why I use the don't ask don't tell method.
It looked good and felt good with a very nice trigger. So the question is, what do you guys know about this pistol? What is your opinion? They want $595 for it. Thanks.

They've been making then for several years. The few that I have shot were decent quality pistols too. Accurate and had a good trigger.

They are made by Bul Transmark in Israel. Years ago they had a joint venture making kimber polymer hi cap 1911s. I have a 45 acp CZ clone from them that is a really good gun.

Gil, it is a .45ACP. Desert Eagle stamped on the slide in big letters. The gun shop guy says they stamp Desert Eagle on all their guns. I don't know about that but that was what my son noticed, the Desert Eagle on a 1911. I'm just curious as I am on these forums a lot and have never noticed anybody mentioning one of these.

Great 1911. I've owned one for 3 years. It has great slide to frame fit, and a great trigger. It shoots as well as my Dan Wessons. Great gun for the price. Buy it!
