I have a hammer follow problem with a .22 conversion 1911. When the trigger is not being pulled the hammer resets with no problems. The hammer follow problem occurs when the trigger is pulled back. If I place downward tension on the slide while pulling it back and pulling the trigger there is no problem. If I place upward tension on the slide while pulling it back and holding the trigger , the hammer will fall past half cock. When I assemble the gun without the safety grip and visually inspect , I can see the disconnector falls when I pull the slide back without pulling the trigger. I can see the disconnector is not falling down when I am putting upward tension on the slide and pulling it back along with holding the trigger. When I put downward tension on the slide while pulling the trigger I can see the disconnector falls. I can see the disconnector not resetting is the problem.

The disconnector moves freely when the trigger is not pulled and there is no sear spring. The clearance between the center leg of the slide and the top of the frame is .020 inch. With the original .45 slide , the clearance is .010. I am using Cylinder and Slide parts. The disconnector length is 1.302 and it is the longest one I have. I removed the adjustment screw from the trigger , it didn't help. I have tried bending the springs but haven't had much luck fixing the problem. What can I do to fix my problem ?
