1911 housing flat or arched?

I usually like my guns set up with a flat MSH and long trigger. I find this to be the best setup for me. Of my 1911s most are set up this way. I have on Colt Government with the arch MSH and short trigger (I'm going to change it sometime soon). Also have a Para P-13 with a short trigger and flat MSH (doesn't point well for me either).

I have medium sized hands with a large palm and prefer a larger grip. I'm used to an arched MSH on my 1911's with a short trigger and shoot well with them. They fill my hand better and I prefer the arched MSH aesthetically. But really, it's simply what I'm used to.

I have large hands with short fingers. I prefer a flat mainspring housing and a short trigger.
With the arched housing, the gun naturally points a little bit high for me.

Of course the beauty of the 1911 design is that is can be customized to fit the operator. Something other pistol manufacturers are now just starting to understand.

I prefer the arched best. CZ has the best grip in my opinion and it is arched. The S&W 99 and it's brother the Walther 99 come with additional pieces for the heel of the grip and I believe they are all arched. The arch just is a more natural feel for a lot of us.
