Howdy,

I have a Parkerized 1911 on order, but it has an arched mainspring housing. I have been doing a lot of Internet searching, but so far no success.

I'd prefer smooth, but a serrated (not checkered) Parkerized mainspring housing would be OK as well.

I surely could use some help on this as I seem to be running out of options.

Thanks,
kw

You're going to have a hard time finding anything parkerized. However, if you go to Wilson Combat website, they have flat, smooth blued for under 50 bucks.

Brownells has some for under 40 bucks. If you want the grey finish and are willing to sacrifice quality to get it, buy a Colt composite (plastic) MSH. They come blue, grey and silver to match common handgun finishes.

I don't know if RIA sells parts, I suspect they do, but they offer their GI 1911 with a flat parkerized mainspring housing.
