I bought a Para SSP (Gov. size) this past weekend. I am using it as one of my carry guns. I'm currently carrying it in an OWB Don Hume JIT holster, with a matching Don Hume double mag pouch.

I've mainly been carrying a G30 Glock in a Galco IWB Royal Guard holster. This is a VERY nice holster. I've also got a Dillon leather double mag pouch for the G30 mags. I have 2 "gun" dress belts in black and tan/brown. I mainly carry at 4 o'clock for the pistol and 8'oclock for the mag pouches.

Do any of you carry a full size 1911 in an IWB holster? If so, can you tell me about your setup?

PS - I also always have a J frame 36 in a Bianci pocket pouch. Comes in handy in those places I don't want to carry in or out of the waist.

Why not pick up another royal guard? The full size 1911 is a breeze to carry IWB as it is thinner through the slide than most other firearms in the .45 flavor.

I prefer my Milt Sparks VM2 holster. Others of similar quality and design exist (Brommeland Max-Con V comes to mind) and should work equally well.

It costs a pretty penny and it takes a fair amount of time, but trust me- it is easily worth every cent and every moment.

That is what I had in mind. I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I will give them all a look. I have always wanted a Milt Sparks holster. I may order one in addition to possibly a Royal Guard.
