1911 Pistol question

I bought my 1911 in a pawn shop. It was a Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 and ran me $400. It was a fantastic gun and I really enjoyed shooting it. Yes you can customize the Mil-Specs but it will cost you if you want to install night sights on one since you have to get the slide milled. I would recommend the Springfield or Rock Island Armory to start with. Steer clear of Taurus!
