1911 prices?

Can anyone explain why a 1911 in 9mm cost so much? I want a 1911 in 9mm to shoot and cant find one for a decent price, nothing special or pretty, or over the top. Just an average shooter. Mabye yall can shed some light on the subject.

Since they are rarer they seem to get more for them. How much can you spend?

Save up and get the STI Trojan. I shoot with a guy who has a Kimber in 9mm and wishes he got the STI now.

Buy a Rock Island Armory 38 Super for $354 from Sarco and buy the 9mm barrel and magazines from Advanced Tactical. There are several folks that have done that over on teh m1911.org forum. Ask them how they like it.

That's about a cheap as it gets in a new gun.

I have a RIA Tactical (45 ACP) and love it. I compete with it in USPSA single stack.
